Watchfinder & Co. presents:
If you time-travelled back to the 1970s and you decided to buy yourself a watch, you could pick up something rugged and functional like a Rolex Submariner for just a few hundred dollars. Unfortunately, time travel hasn’t been invented yet, but that doesn’t make the realisation that, with inflation, that same Submariner should only cost a few thousand dollars today, a far cry from the actual cost. But what if, instead of turning the hands back on time, you could turn them back on price instead? Hamilton thinks you can with this, the Pilot Pioneer.

I keep asking: why don't you feature the MIDO Oceanstar GMT? To me me the best entry level luxury whatch. Even with a full GMT complication.
Thanks for bringing one of my favorite brands to the spot light for a minute.
The CWC 1972 Mellor hand wind from Silvermans in London…..£449.00……a fabulous little watch. I have my original from the 70’s when in the army.
I love the simple and uncomplicated designs of the pilot/field watches.
Thank you, that is one beautiful watch…..
What does this watch have that makes it worth hundreds of dollars more than the Khaki Field Mechanical?
The Hamilton looks great. Reminds me more of an Omega Chronostop
I like Hamilton watches it just puts me off how 90% of their watches are on a strap and not a bracelet, and the ones that are on a bracelet don’t look quite right. I wish they’d come up a new dive watch on a good bracelet, original/simple design, good price, it would do seriously well.
Can't wait to see your story with Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm
Anyone know where we can check out his own Hamilton?
Hamilton is one of my favourites. A very sympathetic and modest yet history-packed brand. Nice and good watches.
The best watch photography on the internet bar non.
Can u do a comparison oh the Hamilton vs CWC for the same similar watch
He looked at this Hamilton, but my husband is very happy with his 38mm Christopher Ward C65 Sandhurst
"Not about status and excess but sentiment" "not about nostalgia" "simple case design" "mineral glass crystal" over $1000 CAD. Hmmm. I'll stick with my $470 Seiko Alpinist.
basically only the price is no more in the spirit of the original watch.
I owned a few Hamilton railroad watches, 992B etc, they were a work of art!
PLEASE do a video explaining JLCs gyrotourbillon!
what hamilton did you buy?
I looked at one of these. A $1,000 watch should have a sapphire crystal. Oddly, its less expensive cousins do.
A really lovely honest little watch, i love the channels presenter and presentation and therefore put up with the inability to buy even this much more affordable offering than the norm.
Why are we talking about rolex???if hamilton is our topic!!!
You guys should cut out the cheesy thumnail text. It diminishes the professional appeal of the channel and probably garners little to no extra viewership. Your most popular videos are ones with interesting titles and beautiful shots of watches in the thumbnail.
Needed to be auto – nice case though
I really enjoy your videos, they are all superb. One comment: having experienced the 1970's personally, I can assure you that wearing any Rolex watch was most definitely a status symbol in America by the latter part of that decade!
I absolutely adore my Hamilton khaki pilot. The same day-date worn by Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar.
Great watch but for the price mineral crystal is a bit disappointing
