We’ve all been there. After careful research, you find the watch of your dreams only to be emotionally destroyed by the price tag. However, in this video, we’re here to help with 13 watches that will give you the exact opposite reaction by looking way more expensive than they actually are.

My List Videos Playlist where I look at great watches at a variety of different price ranges:

  1. Hey Everyone, thanks for watching. Which of the watches mentioned was your favorite? Also, quick typo correction, the Lorier has a plexiglass NOT a sapphire crystal. This is commonly used in their watches across the board for more vintage appeal.

  2. Omega Seamaster Diver 300m? I'd say it looks expensive because it is. I understand "expensive" for a watch is typically tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars, but $5k is pretty damn expensive for me. That watch is worth more than my car lol. I hope to be able to afford one someday though. It is literally my dream watch!

  3. NFW makes the Viperfish that is really nice and has a Citizen movement and retails about 700$. The guy who owns the company,George Fox, used to work for Timex and went out on his own and made watches. He works with vets and does a lot to them. He recently acquired a contract with the military. The brand has been around for about 15 yrs and there are quite few options to choose from as well. Definitely worth a look at.

  4. Why have art you can just look at, when you can have art to wear? This hand-winding certified pre-owned watch features an 18K red gold case surrounding the black open work dial and an 18K red gold deployant buckle on a brown alligator strap. The watch comes with its box and papers and a 15-month warranty, according to the seller. There’s only 33 of them, so they’ll sell fast!
    Domed mineral crystal
    Modern, minimalist style
    Case Diameter: 40.5mm
Water resistant to 30m (100ft): in general, withstands splashes or brief immersion in water, but not suitable for swimming or bathing

  5. It appears I watched the first half of this video in the past. Clicked on it today, and it started with Teddy calling the Omega Seamaster an "entry level" watch.

Understand that before I took an interest in collection, I had never paid more than a hundo for a watch in my life. Last night, I spent $750 on a Hamilton and almost choked myself when I hit the button to finalize the deal.

If a $5,000 Omega is the "entry" to anything, show ME the exit!

  6. Hey Ted, your channel is the bestttttt. I love all the watches you have reviewed so far. I have watched many channels related watches but your knowledge is at par.

  7. My choice of 'watches that look more expensive than they are' would be fake Rolex Submariners with automatic movements, which at the most, would just cost $300 from a Chinese website.

But you should take them off if you are going to use vibrating power tools, because the Japanese movement gets tweaked.

  8. Great video, and approach to watches and their perceived price/value. I would say look at Longines, both the classic, HydroConquest Diver and Conquest GMT

  9. Buying a Rolex sub that is 10-15 years old that is out of warranty with multiple past owners for over 10k used online is risky I’d go with the Omega smp 300 diver the latest model new.

  10. i really like the seiko , it looks classy , i just can't seem to get on with tissot & omega , there's just something about the name that just does'nt appeal to me , especially tissot , the name just sounds cheap to me .sorreee .

  11. Great video. I would add the Glycine Combat Sub. It represents quite the value at the current street price. I recently purchased the GL0092 version for $315. Last week, I visited a watch repair shop to get a battery for one of my quartz divers. I was wearing the Glycine and the proprietor of the shop congratulated me on my "nice Tudor Heritage Black Bay". The appearance of the two time pieces are quite similar. I've been impressed with everything about the Combat Sub, especially the case thinness and the finishes. It looks and feels more expensive than it is.
